 Revamp your Vinyasa

SEQUENCING AND CUING FOR YOGA TEACHERS

Join E-RYT Bekah Andrew for a four-week integrative course on the power of progressive and creative sequencing. This course will teach you how to source your energy while empowering your students. You will learn how to keep students engaged and growing in their practice.

Are you tired of scrambling right before class, trying to figure out what to teach? Do you simply make it up as you go along? Are you blindly navigating online teaching and feeling unsure of your teaching? Or maybe you have your teaching skills dialed but have not evolved your teaching to apply to Zoom/online and are feeling rundown, lost, and alone in navigating this new world of online yoga.

While being able to come up with a sequence on the fly is a valuable skill, it shouldn’t be how vinyasa teachers teach every class. Teaching progressively and with a long-term vision will bring new inspiration to each class, students will see their progress more readily, and you will save energy by not reinventing the wheel every time you teach.

In this training you will learn how to:

  • Sequence creatively bringing inspiration and excitement to your students and your teaching

  • Create a clear teaching curriculum that will allow students to progress without getting bored with the same/similar sequence

  • How to bring energy through the screen and into students lives

  • Simple cueing tips that will keep your teaching concise allowing students to embody the practice

  • Source your energy so you are able to show up fully and energetically in class

  • Optimize teaching online to keep students engaged with their practice and coming back for more

  • Inspire students through weaving in thoughtful themes and intentions

  • Encourage students to work and find their edge without compromising their practice

  • How to use Instagram as a way to keep your students engaged

Times have changed and it is unlikely that we will ever go back to the way things were pre-pandemic. If you have put off evolving your teaching now is the time to take action. You cannot wait another year hoping things will go back to ‘normal’.

You have students waiting for you, they are ready to receive your unique insight as a yoga teacher and it’s time you step up into your role as a teacher.

*After this training, you will be eligible to teach a one-time free vinyasa class at Nest! This is an amazing opportunity to get your foot in the door with one of the most respected yoga studios in the Bay Area. Details will be discussed during the course.

ABOUT YOUR TEACHER

Bekah has been teaching yoga since 2011 and has completed trainings with Abby Tucker, Janet Stone, Lesley Fightmaster, and Anj Mantisas. As a new teacher, her greatest weakness was sequencing, while she loved teaching she did not understand how to create engaging and progressive sequences. She completed The Art of Progressive Teaching training with Abby Tucker. From there she mentored one-on-one with Anj Mantisas. These trainings completely changed her approach to teaching and from there she was able to further enrich her student’s lives. She is often given the praise that her classes are so fun, creative, and approachable (while still challenging). When Nest Yoga approached about teaching a vinyasa sequencing training for them, she was absolutely delighted and humbled. With her background in workshop programming for Namaste Yoga and Wellness, she is passionate about helping teachers find and build their unique programs. She has a unique understanding of the behind-the-scenes business of yoga, and what it is like to be a yoga teacher building their classes and programs.
